We suggest moving the light closer over a few days to achieve optimum coverage and intensity for the particular plant you are growing. Operating suggestions: Using a good surge protector on your electronic equipment is always a safe idea, electrical surges a rare but can damage any type of lighting. If using a controller and/or a light timer make sure it is sized correctly for the light(s) you are using.
Growing: You will use significant less water in a hydroponic system. Care should be taken with nutrients levels because of the lower stress on your plants. Lower heat means less evaporation and room temperatures. Adjust humidity and cooling system to meet these changes.
